How to transcribe an Instagram Reel to text
Open a Reel, click Transcribe, and read the hook and script as timestamped text you can copy or download.
Why transcribe a Reel
The caption rarely tells you why a Reel worked. The words do: how the first line hooks, how the middle builds, and how it ends. Reading a script is faster than rewatching a video ten times, and it is easier to compare across Reels.
How to transcribe a Reel with Feedlyy
Install Feedlyy in Chrome and sign in with your Pro account.
Sort a profile, open a Reel from the results, and click Transcribe, or press T. You can also click the Transcribe icon on the video when the Reel is open on Instagram.
Wait a few seconds. The speech comes back line by line with timestamps. Copy it, or download it as a text file.
Start with the Reels that already worked
Transcribe is most useful on Reels that proved themselves. Sort the creator’s Reels tab by Breakout score, start with the ones around 2.0× and above, and open Why it broke out next to the transcript.
Keep the format, write your own words
Note the hook, the length, and how the script is built. Then write your own version of that format. A transcript is research, not a script to repost.
Minutes and limits
Transcribe is on Pro: ₹499 a month, or ₹449 a month billed yearly. It includes 500 minutes a month, and a 1-minute Reel uses 1 minute. Videos can be up to 15 minutes.
A Reel someone already transcribed opens instantly and doesn’t use your minutes. A Reel with no speech shows “No speech found”.
What happens to the audio
Transcribe is the one step that leaves your browser. That Reel’s audio is sent to Feedlyy and turned into text. The audio isn’t kept. The transcript is saved with the post, so the same Reel opens instantly next time.
