What Breakout score shows on an Instagram profile
A marketer can see what overperformed for one account. An influencer can see which of their own posts beat their usual numbers.
It compares a creator with themselves
Breakout score asks whether a post beat how that creator usually does in the set you pulled. A smaller account is not judged against a larger one. Raw likes hide that. A post with fewer likes can still be the one that overperformed.
On the profile grid, where photos and Reels sit together, the score uses likes. On the Reels tab, it uses views. A score of 2.0× means about twice that creator’s median in the set.
What stays out of the median
Pinned posts are scored, and they stay out of the median. Creators pin old hits, and those hits would raise the bar for everything else.
Posts from the last three days stay out of the median too. They are still collecting likes and views, so a new Reel is not treated as a final result.
How to read the grid
Sort by likes when you want the biggest posts. Sort by Breakout score when you want the posts that overperformed for this creator. Hover a card for likes and comments.
Breakout score is included on Free. An export to CSV, Excel, or JSON keeps it as its own column. The score needs one profile, because it needs that creator’s history.
