How a marketer researches one competitor’s Instagram
One profile, one research run, and a file you can hand to the team. The original Instagram grid comes back on refresh.
Start on the profile you can already see
Open the competitor’s Instagram profile in Chrome while you are signed in as yourself. Feedlyy reads that page. It does not ask for an Instagram password, and it does not follow, like, or message anyone.
The first run can stay on the Free defaults: 25 posts from the last 7 days. That is enough to see what is working for them this week.
Read the winners, then take the set with you
The grid comes back sorted by Breakout score. The top cards beat that account’s usual numbers. Hover a card for likes and comments, and open a post for the caption and the metrics on the page.
Export CSV, Excel, or JSON when the team needs the list. Download a zip when they need the photos and Reels from that set. Refresh Instagram and the original profile comes back.
When the same accounts are every week
Pro raises a run to 1,000 posts, or a custom count, and a date range up to 1 year. Saved collections keep the posts you want to review again. Niche finder, after a sort, lists up to 50 similar Instagram accounts so the next profile is in the same lane.
