Is Feedlyy safe for my Instagram account?
Last updated 26 October 2026.
What Feedlyy never does
Feedlyy never posts, likes, follows, comments or sends messages for you. Every request it makes to Instagram only reads data.
It never takes actions on your account. It reads the posts Instagram loads, and fetches more only when you start a research run.
It never asks for your Instagram password, and never bypasses logins or CAPTCHAs. If Instagram turns a request away, Feedlyy stops instead of trying to get around it.
How Feedlyy works
It reads the Instagram page you already have open in Chrome, using your own session, so it only sees posts you could see yourself.
Sorting, filters and the Breakout score are calculated in your browser.
Where your data is stored
Saved posts and collections are stored in your browser on this device, not on our servers.
Exports (CSV, Excel, JSON) are files saved on your computer.
On Free without an account, research sends nothing to Feedlyy’s servers.
If you create an account, Feedlyy stores your email and sign-in session. When you buy Pro, it also stores the name, phone number and country you enter at checkout, and a record of each payment.
Payments are handled by Razorpay. Feedlyy never sees or stores your card or UPI details.
Transcribe, on Pro, sends only that Reel’s audio to Feedlyy to turn it into text. The audio isn’t kept. The transcript is saved with the post, so the same Reel opens instantly next time, and the minutes you use each month are counted.
What permissions the extension asks for
Side panel: Shows the Feedlyy panel next to Instagram.
Storage: Keeps your settings, saved posts, collections and sign-in on this device.
Tabs: Knows which Instagram page you have open, and opens a profile in a new tab when you click one.
Scripting: Adds Feedlyy's research controls to the Instagram page you have open.
instagram.com: Reads the profile and posts you research, using your own Instagram session.
cdninstagram.com and fbcdn.net: Loads the post images and videos Instagram serves, for previews and Transcribe.
api.feedlyy.com: Signs you in, checks whether you're on Pro, and runs Transcribe.
account.feedlyy.com: Connects the account you sign in to on the website with the extension.
An honest note
Feedlyy is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta. It uses the same requests Instagram’s own website makes and stops when Instagram turns them away, but Instagram makes its own decisions about accounts, so we can’t guarantee how Instagram treats any account.
